The song was written by Sykes, alongside Harmony Samuels, Carmen Reece and Major Johnson Finley, and was released in the United Kingdom on 18 October 2022 equally the second single from his debut studio anthology Unfinished Business (2016). The song peaked at number eight on the United kingdom of great britain and northern ireland Singles Chart. A remix featuring American vocalizer Ariana Grande was too released equally a single on 15 January 2016.[ commendation needed ]

Live performances [edit]

Sykes performed the song live on The X Factor on 22 November 2015.[1] He besides performed a stripped-downward version of the vocal on The Late Late Show with James Corden. He likewise sang a version of it at the 2022 Summer Ball with Louisa Johnson.

Music video [edit]

A music video to accompany the release of "Over and Over Again" was first released onto YouTube on 28 October 2015.[ii] It starred newcomer actress Maemae Renfrow of the futurity Nickelodeon show Hunter Street as the love interest.
